I can’t wait.
So many of us waiting for so long. Putting in the waiting hours. Not knowing how long four years could feel.
Four years forever, four years for shame, four years how dare you, four years never a closed eye, four years a mark in time, four years meaning nothing, four years ages 3–7, four years of protecting, caring, consoling, scrolling, head shaking, heart holding.
And now. Another chance.
Oh, let’s take it and run. Leave them all in the dying dust.
